Watershed/Nonpoint Source is the first in the EnviroScape series -- also known as EnviroScape I and EnviroScape II. Water pollution comes from many sources. Nonpoint sources contribute a great deal to the pollution in our water bodies. The combined affect of pollution from many small sources can have a real impact on the quality of our shared water resources.

EnviroScape Watershed/Nonpoint Source tracks pollution from nonpoint sources, including

Pollution and runoff are visually apparent when rain falling over the landscape top carries soil (cocoa), chemicals (colored drink mixes) and oil (cocoa and water mixture) through a watershed to a body of water. Stormwater runoff and storm drain function are also addressed.

Best management practices include felt buffer strips as vegetation, clay to create berms and other methods to show conservation and water pollution prevention measures at work. It discusses nonpoint source pollution and the steps everyone can take to help prevent environmental contamination. It is also good for discussion about overall watershed concepts.

EnviroScape Watershed/Nonpoint Source teaches the watershed concept in addition to point and nonpoint source pollution. Two waterways flow into a larger water body, which is representative of a lake, river, bay, or ocean. The unit comes complete with a kit containing everything you need to demonstrate the movement of water through a watershed and the pollution that runoff may cause.

The Watershed/Nonpoint Source unit includes: Nonpoint source landscape top (topographical map) with storm drain pipe, clear base, houses, barn, factory, drain pipe, treatment plant, trees, golf flags, cows, cars and best management practices such as buffer strips, clay berms, manure container, soil, oils and chemicals (cocoa, drink mixes and oil mix), bridges, watercatcher, rainmaker, water plug, and User's Guide.

You have the option of purchasing the New & Improved DELUXE Carrying Case on Wheels or the black nylon Tote/Shoulder Bag for transporting the unit, but they are not necessary.

NEW! Improved Carrying Case! We've taken the best from the Heavy-Duty Carrying case and made it better! Now called the DELUXE CARRYING CASE, the new case is made from a strong nylon material with reinforced sides, padded protection, wheels, a retractable handle and an additional side handle. It's much easier to transport, remove and replace the EnviroScape model, and much lighter to lift. Warm brown in color, the new improved Deluxe Carrying Case replaces the original case.

TOTE/SHOULDER BAG: No more zippers -- place your EnviroScape model(s) in the bag & go! Plus, it's big enough for the foam padded box. The tote bag replaces our nylon shoulder bag, and is 33.5" x 28" x 10", made from strong black polyester, with adjustable handles and inside pockets.
