Enviroscape® COASTAL Model

EnviroScape® Coastal is one of the newest in the series of successful EnviroScape models. It consists of a landscape (topographical) map with clear base, and includes accessories such as a resort building, marina, gasoline storage tank, and other related items. A comprehensive user's guide is also included.

The model represents typical sites found in a coastal area and watershed, such as

dredged channel,

resort community,

treatment plant,

gas station,

underground storage tanks and marina,

residential homes with septic systems storm drain function, and

other sites.

The EnviroScape Coastal Unit contains everything you need (except the water!): Coastal topographical map (top), clear base, resort building, high-rise/urban building, house, marina, gas station, treatment facility, farm house, port facility, coral reef, shellfish bed, bridge, septic tank, manure containment structure, collection site at resort, underground storage tanks, wetlands and grass strips, sand, marine debris, tractor, car, trees, buoys, boats, golf flag, wells w/pumps, oils and chemicals (cocoa, drink mixes and oil mix), water plug, and User’s Guide.

It demonstrates point sources and nonpoint sources of pollution -- and the effects of both on wetlands, estuaries, the ocean, beaches and even coral reefs and shellfish beds. The user fills the ocean, harbor, estuary, marina and other waterways with water.

To demonstrate nonpoint sources of pollution, cocoa (soil) and drink mixes (chemicals) are placed on the model and rain is simulated. You can follow the flow of rain and what it picks up along the way. Trash and other contaminants can also be placed on the model.

Point sources of pollution and groundwater contamination can be demonstrated as well. For example, a leaking underground storage tank may contaminate groundwater. If this occurs, you'll be able to see such contamination through the side of the model.

Preventive measures are also demonstrated.

Each unit is shipped in a sturdy foam padded shipping box. You have the option of purchasing the New & Improved DELUXE Carrying Case on Wheels or the black nylon Tote/Shoulder Bag for ease in transporting the unit, but they are not required.

NEW! Improved Carrying Case! We've taken the best from the Heavy-Duty Carrying case and made it better! Now called the Nylon Carrying Case w/Wheels, the new case is made from a strong nylon material with reinforced sides, padded protection, wheels, a retractable handle and an additional side handle. It's much easier to transport, remove and replace the EnviroScape model, and much lighter to lift. Warm brown in color, the new improved Nylon Carrying Case replaces the original case.

TOTE/SHOULDER BAG: No more zippers — place your EnviroScape model(s) in the bag & go! Plus, it's big enough for the foam padded box. The tote bag replaces our nylon shoulder bag, and is 33.5" x 28" x 10", made from strong black polyester, with adjustable handles and inside pockets.
